David Daggett

David DaggettDavid is the Managing Partner with Daggett Shuler Attorneys in Winston-Salem, a team of experienced lawyers plus staff providing representation to children, families and individuals who are wrongfully injured or disabled. He has practiced personal injury law since 1985. He is experienced in assisting clients with all types of injury cases, including serious injuries, wrongful death, and insurance claims. Over the years his clients have included professional runners, bicyclists, and triathletes including Ironman™ champions. He has represented top military officers and Olympic athletes from three continents. He has worked his entire career doing the same thing and he “has loved every day!”

David is also a founder and sponsor of Safe Sober Prom Night, a non-profit corporation. The program encourages positive peer pressure for teenagers to “Do It Right!”, and reinforce awareness of the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Over the past 27 years the program has reached more than 500,000 high school students, and reaches thousands of young people each year. He has served on the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Bar Association, President of the Forsyth County Bar and 21st Judicial District Bar Associations, and numerous community boards. He’s also a serious triathlete who has completed more than 195 triathlons, including 29 Ironman competitions. He has completed the Hawaii Ironman World Triathlon Championship eight times.

He was presented the Ironman “Everyday Hero” award for his community service work, the national “Trial Lawyers Care” award, and a Governor’s Volunteer Service Award for his work with the Down Syndrome community. He has been featured on ESPN, Universal TV, Forbes Small Business, Men’s Health, 60 Minutes, North Carolina Lawyer magazine, and the cover of Lawyers Weekly.

At New Philadelphia Moravian Church, David has served in many capacities including Elder, Usher, Sunday School Teacher, Children’s Sermon Presenter, and Volunteer. He and his wife Cindy live in Winston-Salem and have three children.
